Job Summary
The Becoming Kids Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the spiritual formation and discipleship of children within our ministry. This individual will develop, lead, and sustain dynamic and effective discipleship programs that foster spiritual growth, both for children and their families. In this vital role, the Director will also nurture, train, and equip a dedicated team of volunteers, empowering them to serve with excellence and passion. Through building meaningful relationships with children and parents, the Director will create a welcoming and supportive environment that cultivates a deeper connection with Jesus and strengthens the faith foundation of the next generation at The Becoming Church. This position requires a leader with a heart for children, a passion for ministry, and a commitment to developing a thriving, Christ-centered children’s ministry that impacts families for years to come. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively connect with both individuals and teams. A heart for people and the ability to inspire, encourage, and build relationships with volunteers, children, and parents are essential in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Lead children and their families to follow Jesus.
·Invite, train, and empower volunteers and maintain a monthly volunteer schedule.
·Follow up with people who are interested in volunteering with kid’s ministry.
·Lead creative team meetings with the appropriate people to implement the curriculum on Sunday mornings.
·Develop or select a strategic curriculum to engage Biblical literacy and the spiritual development of a child from nursery through elementary school.
·Oversee communication between the church, children, and families.
·Provide resources for parents and families as needed.
·Oversee the setup and operation of all related kid’s ministry environments on Sunday morning.
·Oversee the Kids’ Ministry budget, and plan select special events as needed.
·Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as scheduled.
·Partner with the church for marketing efforts designed to notify students and families of ministries and events within the church.
·Facilitate or provide a spiritual training program to train teachers on how to cultivate spiritual relationships and present the Gospel.
·Utilize and maintain resources to meet the spiritual needs of the kid’s ministry.
·Develop a discipleship program for middle school students.
